 Start of Week - Update 009 By A.A. Lopez     Let's see, it's been... 2 weeks since the last update. Not bad for me; usually, the break is 3. But let's see where we're at, what we're trying to do, and if there's anything upcoming for this week.     Honestly, I've put a lot of my projects off to the side for the past week or so due to the RTO order that came in a few weeks ago, along with layoffs looming overhead. So I've just been letting myself have the time to breathe and have room. Though I am keeping up with streaming every Friday at 7 PM, with different ideas for each stream. Last week's was focused on creating vector art with a real-life photo; it came out incredibly creepy, so I deleted it after the stream.     But I am feeling the need to get back to at least trying to focus on my creative projects again.  Start of Week Update - 008 By A.A. Lopez     That was an enjoyable... I was going to say vacation, but I was working, at home with family, and constantly trying to meet deadlines beyond that of my scope, so it was time away, I guess. Nonetheless, it is Labor Day, and tomorrow going back in-office thrice a week... hooray.     Not much to report during my time away from development. The biggest thing is that I got myself a Raspberry Pi 400, which has been pretty fun to work on for the past couple days, and I can't wait to see what else I can do. I'm mostly messing around with Scratch at the moment, mostly to see what it can do. I might try making Thrift Tycoon in there just to see if I can. Oh, that also leads me to the other thing.     I'm going to start streaming my dev nights on my Twitch Channel: vicarbatman. I'll be doing a 2-hour stream on Friday nights from 7pm to 9pm Pacific, and on Saturdays, I'll be doing a 4-5-hour stream from 1pm to 5pm or 6...

 Start of Week Update - 007 By A.A. Lopez     Man, I really have a bad habit of leaving weekly blogs alone for too long. Probably should try harder to stick to a schedule; maybe put an alarm on my phone or something. Anyways, let's break down what's been happening and what the plan is for this week.     Finally, release the Notes extension to my team in general. The downside is that my boss, his boss, and side-boss all don't like the name I gave it. They want a more marketable name for the extension, so I have to think of something before Thursday after next, when I do a presentation for the global team. So that'll be a part of my workload this week.     Oh, and the GUI for the other toolset is finally complete. The only problem is that packaging it has become a hassle due to its needing output folders.  Start of Week Update - 006 By A.A. Lopez     All right, so two weeks of relative silence aside from one journal update, not great, but sometimes it happens. I can't get hung up on that too much. So what happened in these past two weeks?     Let's see:  Did get the logger extension, now called Silver Forest, up and running along with a companion extension.  Recorded, edited, and have a rough edit of "Voices in Transit" spec ad done.  Worked and have a near working version of the On-Screen Text detection software done, just have to get a few more tests done with some edge-case uses.  Working on creating a Creative Brief for "Monterey Grove" a 4 episode TTRPG podcast (I'm pretty sure I've made reference to it at the very beginning).  Updated the pseudo-code to Project://JUNO and on the first part of creating the flowchart for it as well     I believe that's all I had done... Oh! Right, also working on making a match 3 mobile game...

 Start of the Week Update - 005 By A.A. Lopez     Been a second, huh? Well, I'm finally back from a well earned vacation. One that wasn't tied to any family tragedies, mental/emotional breakdowns, or happenstances beyond my control. Just a relaxing time away from work and focusing on just being with family and sleeping past 6 in the morning (which is honestly very hard to do no matter how late I went to bed).     So what does that mean for me and these next few weeks? Well if you read the previous "Building Up" journal entry you saw all the things I'm trying to learn to show off to actual hiring managers, with 9 roles in total to try my hat at. Then on top of that we still have all the other projects I have going on, so I think the best thing before we layout what this week will entail is layout what's pulling me in every which direction. In all honesty I'm not looking to do much this week as next week I'm gonna be on a vacation with my family starting Friday. We'll be in Avila for a few days, come home and just hang out. Take some time away from the screen.  Start of Week Update - 002 By A.A. Lopez     This time we're gonna start this update on Sunday before the week begins and see if that makes any difference. Along with subtracting some things, or give priority of "would be nice"(WBN) items. Though honestly, right now, this is more as a distraction for me with the current situation.     If I haven't mentioned it earlier, I'm in Los Angeles, and while I'm not in Downtown, still being in this city is stressful. For those who do not know, or if you find this blog months, or years later, currently the current US administration is trying to intimidate the populace from protesting the illegal immigration raids they are attempting to do by enlisting military force. To be clear none of the protests are violent or are causing damage to person or property, but due to the bully nature of this administration they believe by using such tactics it will silence the people.  Start of Week Update - 001 By A.A. Lopez     This is going to be an experimental part of this blog; posting what the plan is for the week on Monday evening, and then a follow-up End of Week update on Friday evenings to see where we go. Basically it's a way to give myself a chore list of what I want to do this week and have some accountability for myself.     My plans for this week are pretty basic for what is gonna be a short workweek thanks to having Summer Fridays at my day job.
