 Start of Week Update - 002

    This time we're gonna start this update on Sunday before the week begins and see if that makes any difference. Along with subtracting some things, or give priority of "would be nice"(WBN) items. Though honestly, right now, this is more as a distraction for me with the current situation.

    If I haven't mentioned it earlier, I'm in Los Angeles, and while I'm not in Downtown, still being in this city is stressful. For those who do not know, or if you find this blog months, or years later, currently the current US administration is trying to intimidate the populace from protesting the illegal immigration raids they are attempting to do by enlisting military force. To be clear none of the protests are violent or are causing damage to person or property, but due to the bully nature of this administration they believe by using such tactics it will silence the people. I'm a believer that that people will not back down, that this will not go the way a would be tyrant would want it to, but that doesn't mean I'm not a bit scared, so I'm doing what I do best: focus on projects.

    It is a bit cowardly, I admit, but as someone with a bum leg and who can't really fight, and is scared of being scratched by a kitten, what else can I do? As grandiose as my idea of being a self-sacrificial hero might be, I know as soon as trouble comes I'll turn and run. I'll even justify it by saying I promised my parents I'd run, that I have to look to tomorrow, or some other bull like that. In the end, I'll be a coward, who runs.

    Hahaha! Sorry, that a got a bit heavy, but it's good to be honest here. After all I want to make sure anyone who might see this and choose to work with me knows who I am, even with my faults. And who knows, maybe I might end up being heroic when the time comes, but I doubt that. So let's just focus on this upcoming week, worrying about hypotheticals does nothing for the mind but cause worry.

  • Tuesday
    • Caps Cleaner Work
      • Want to show off at my day job on Wednesday, so need to have the reduced version semi-working and a full app. Need to deliver art to a mac to make an OS app
  • Wednesday
    • Caps Cleaner R.V.1.0 Showcase
  • Thursday
    • Relax, not gonna do a project, unless inspired
  • Friday
    • Half-Day, Wedding Officiant work, disperse business cards (if able)

    This seems like a more feasible workweek for myself. While I'm not focusing on my vast projects and just the one might be helpful. Though knowing me, if I'm up on a deadline that I'm enforcing, then the chance of actually getting the thing done on time... there's always a 50/50. Of course we should also mention the WBNs:

    I don't know if I'll get to any of them, if anything I might just write in a journal, but knowing my chicken scratch, there's a good chance I'll only be able to relay a minimal part of my message. So let's hope I can do at least half of one this week, if not, we know what there is to work on in the future.

    It's pretty obvious that I'm doing my best to be goofy, distracted, and whatnot. So let me just be able to be this tinkerer who just wants to make stuff. Because right now I am scared, but I have hope, weird, huh? You'd think one would counteract the other.

 Start of Week - Update 009 By A.A. Lopez     Let's see, it's been... 2 weeks since the last update. Not bad for me; usually, the break is 3. But let's see where we're at, what we're trying to do, and if there's anything upcoming for this week.     Honestly, I've put a lot of my projects off to the side for the past week or so due to the RTO order that came in a few weeks ago, along with layoffs looming overhead. So I've just been letting myself have the time to breathe and have room. Though I am keeping up with streaming every Friday at 7 PM, with different ideas for each stream. Last week's was focused on creating vector art with a real-life photo; it came out incredibly creepy, so I deleted it after the stream.     But I am feeling the need to get back to at least trying to focus on my creative projects again. I can't let these things just go to the wayside. I want to do them all, I just really need to find a way to organize myself better. At ...

End of Week Update - 008

End of Week Update - 008 By A.A.Lopez     You know, I tend to start each of these EoW updates with "Oh, I'm so tired," or "That was a long week." Just things to those effects, but seriously, I feel like this past week was much too much. Not going to get too much into it cause a lot of it deals with NDA stuff, but gods, I need a way off the rollercoaster.     But let's not focus too much on the week and focus on the accomplishments that happened!     Biggest thing, had my first stream this past Friday, as well as a second one on Saturday. You can see that it resulted in two art pieces, "pieces", they were sketches, and the stream got away from me a bit. Yet, I think I learned a lot from my time doing it. From how to use OBS to trying to be a good host. Was I excellent? No. Did I have a lot of viewers? No. Was it fun and worth leaning into and learning? Yes. So I think I will continue on this path for just a bit longer.     Of course, I should also ...
