 End of Week Update - 001

    Not a great week for the start of something new I’ll admit. But not going to beat myself up about it, this was and is an experiment to keep me accountable and on top of projects that I have been wanting to do for a long time. And some of the things I wanted to do I did, just did not notate them here like I wanted to, and others… well, we’re here.

    Let’s get started on the End of Week Update:

  •     Monday
    • Start of Week Update Posts - Complete
    • Review OST Footage - Did not do because I could not get myself to actually record or watch anything after work
    • Learn OBS features - Attempted but my head was in a fog from a mix of malaise and a minor cold
  • Tuesday
    • Work on Project://JUNO wireframe - Did come up with a few diagrams in my head, but did not commit any to pen and paper or to digital notes. Most likely will forget some if not all the ideas
    • Send off business cards for Wedding officiant business - Complete! They just came in this afternoon and look wonderful
    • Post Devlogs for various projects - Still feeling the malaise and cold, and work was just a lot
  • Wednesday
    • Office Day - Did not post, but was able to talk and hang out with my coworkers, which is always nice. Lucky to have a space where I actually like the people I work with, and end up taking lunches almost over 2 hours because we got lost in conversation
    • Work on Caps Cleaner - I did do that! But not in the office, I was able to get some sticking points and rework the cleaner down to a reduced version that I might show off on Wednesday to my team.
    • Watch new D20 campaign - postponed until Friday
  • Thursday
    • Devlog on the python script for Caps Cleaner - Did not post, a lot of these are just going to be that I was drained after work. Though I did make headway on the reduced version.
    • Devlog for OST tool - Intro - Did not post, same as before. Gods, that really is starting to sound like a kid's excuse of why they didn't want to clean their room, which the irony on the Friday update will not be lost on me
  • Friday
    • Start EoW Update posts - Doing it right now, so marking it complete
    • Devlog for Horror Bob Ross Game - Intro - Nope, not even gonna try
    • Clean Apartment - Didn't even make a proper go of it, just sat around, ate leftover pizza, watched D20, drank soda and rum, and dithered. It's my first summer Friday in 2 years, the first time I've taken vacation for myself in ever, of course I'm gonna milk being lazy for a bit. Hopefully, I can get to it tomorrow, but I think breaking it down to like, just a spot, might do it
    • Play video games - I did try to do that, but my roommate wanted to talk and then I got motion sick, so couldn't even do that.

     I feel bad that this is my update, cause it's like I'm saying I didn't do anything. But I know that just because I didn't do the things I set out to do doesn't mean I didn't accomplish some things, and things I didn't even think about. Or the fact that some new things came about because of it, like the Caps Cleaner Reduced app! Just have to remember that these goals are there to help guide the week, not an immutable necessity that have to happen.

    This weekend will be more rest and trying to get to a point where I can say, "I woke up early, might as well do my laundry." That way I can feel like a human being, and not some imposter trying to do things and then not following through. I really hate that trope of someone who says they're gonna be something big and then just lays on the couch all day. And as much of a hypocrite as I am and can be, I don't want to do that. Next SoW update will be measured against this, and hopefully we'll start seeing better results.

 Start of Week - Update 009 By A.A. Lopez     Let's see, it's been... 2 weeks since the last update. Not bad for me; usually, the break is 3. But let's see where we're at, what we're trying to do, and if there's anything upcoming for this week.     Honestly, I've put a lot of my projects off to the side for the past week or so due to the RTO order that came in a few weeks ago, along with layoffs looming overhead. So I've just been letting myself have the time to breathe and have room. Though I am keeping up with streaming every Friday at 7 PM, with different ideas for each stream. Last week's was focused on creating vector art with a real-life photo; it came out incredibly creepy, so I deleted it after the stream.     But I am feeling the need to get back to at least trying to focus on my creative projects again. I can't let these things just go to the wayside. I want to do them all, I just really need to find a way to organize myself better. At ...

End of Week Update - 008

End of Week Update - 008 By A.A.Lopez     You know, I tend to start each of these EoW updates with "Oh, I'm so tired," or "That was a long week." Just things to those effects, but seriously, I feel like this past week was much too much. Not going to get too much into it cause a lot of it deals with NDA stuff, but gods, I need a way off the rollercoaster.     But let's not focus too much on the week and focus on the accomplishments that happened!     Biggest thing, had my first stream this past Friday, as well as a second one on Saturday. You can see that it resulted in two art pieces, "pieces", they were sketches, and the stream got away from me a bit. Yet, I think I learned a lot from my time doing it. From how to use OBS to trying to be a good host. Was I excellent? No. Did I have a lot of viewers? No. Was it fun and worth leaning into and learning? Yes. So I think I will continue on this path for just a bit longer.     Of course, I should also ...
