End of Week Update - 002

End of Week Update - 002

By A.A. Lopez

This past week had a lot of stuff going on. Some of which I don't think I'm allowed to share here, so I'm gonna be brief on my updates, then literally right after this I'm gonna post the SoW Update.

  • Monday
    • Caps Cleaner Devlog - Eff yes! Did that and showcased the new materials. Though I wasn't able to add in any media regarding the code or anything like that, but still! Got it done.
    • IMDb Scraper Tool - Finished and working item in the code of the Caps Cleaner Reduced version. Will be integrating it soon with the main version soon.
  • Tuesday / Wednesday
    • This is where a lot o' shit went down this past week. Had to move showcasing the Caps Cleaner to the next (this week).
    • Cleaned my apartment, actually a huge win, go me!
    • Came up with a new idea for work that might be very helpful, already talked to 2 folks about it, now just need to talk to 2 more.
  • Thursday
    • Technically speaking I did relax... after trying to figure out what to do and diving into a depressive spiral for a couple hours.
  • Friday
    • Worked for half a day, helped with some stuff I won't talk about, and got my hands on some audio equipment.
  • Saturday
    • While I didn't attend any protest due to my leg, I did write to my representatives, senators, and governor, donated to several causes, and put some signs in my window.
    • Did some voice work. The biggest gripe there is that I didn't do any visual work, like not even typography. But that stuff took me 4 hours to do due to my lack of habit. Once I get back into the swing of things I'm sure I'll be back to getting that down to 2 hours instead. Also the new equipment was a bit testy (legit had a second where I did not have a connection because the USB-C was not connected to the USB-A adapter).

This week was a lot of stuff and a lot of nothing. But looking back, I did much more than I thought, despite other issues that came up. Really got take things as a whole rather than focus on the negative sometimes, huh? Guess that'll be the lesson for the week.

Lesson of the Week: Bad things happen, but so do good ones.

    I really got workshop these.

Start of Week - Update 009

Start of Week - Update 009 By A.A. Lopez     Let's see, it's been... 2 weeks since the last update. Not bad for me; usually, the break is 3. But let's see where we're at, what we're trying to do, and if there's anything upcoming for this week.     Honestly, I've put a lot of my projects off to the side for the past week or so due to the RTO order that came in a few weeks ago, along with layoffs looming overhead. So I've just been letting myself have the time to breathe and have room. Though I am keeping up with streaming every Friday at 7 PM, with different ideas for each stream. Last week's was focused on creating vector art with a real-life photo; it came out incredibly creepy, so I deleted it after the stream.     But I am feeling the need to get back to at least trying to focus on my creative projects again. I can't let these things just go to the wayside. I want to do them all, I just really need to find a way to organize myself better. At ...

End of Week Update - 008

End of Week Update - 008 By A.A.Lopez     You know, I tend to start each of these EoW updates with "Oh, I'm so tired," or "That was a long week." Just things to those effects, but seriously, I feel like this past week was much too much. Not going to get too much into it cause a lot of it deals with NDA stuff, but gods, I need a way off the rollercoaster.     But let's not focus too much on the week and focus on the accomplishments that happened!     Biggest thing, had my first stream this past Friday, as well as a second one on Saturday. You can see that it resulted in two art pieces, "pieces", they were sketches, and the stream got away from me a bit. Yet, I think I learned a lot from my time doing it. From how to use OBS to trying to be a good host. Was I excellent? No. Did I have a lot of viewers? No. Was it fun and worth leaning into and learning? Yes. So I think I will continue on this path for just a bit longer.     Of course, I should also ...
